Phoebe Davis is a proud descendant of Ngāti Manu, carrying forward a deep commitment to hapū-led development, tino rangatiratanga, and intergenerational transformation for her mokopuna.

As a Trustee for Te Whakaaetanga Trust, she brings decades of leadership across Māori-medium education, iwi development, and kaupapa Māori innovation.

Phoebe has held influential roles including Strategic Education Manager for Te Rūnanga-Ā-Iwi o Ngāpuhi, Lead Facilitator for national curriculum development initiatives, and advisor and writer for Ministry of Education programmes. Her work spans curriculum design, hapū-led education strategy, Treaty claims facilitation and negotiation, and mentoring emerging Māori leaders, particularly tūmuaki across Aotearoa. Internationally, she has contributed as a research fellow with the Kettering Foundation in the United States, strengthening Indigenous perspectives in democratic practice.

Grounded in her whakapapa and driven by a lifelong dedication to Māori education and sovereignty, Phoebe continues to work alongside whānau, hapū, and iwi to realise futures where mokopuna thrive as Māori.
